“In the European context, open innovation is now used as a synonym for modern, highly dynamic and interactive processes. … This new innovation culture leads to simultaneous technological and societal innovation and encouragement. We need to be daring and also experiment with disruptive approaches as gradual improvement does not properly reflect the potential that the omnipresent, fast-developing ICT provides for parallel innovations”. In our context Systemic Open Innovation means:
Human-centred Politics * Human-centred Security * Human-centred Technology
The HUMAN PERSON is CORE
The result of well administered EC funding and successfully deployed Knowledge Intensive interactive Services for Systemic Open Innovation, is shown here with 2 practice-oriented examples:
- Global Crisis and Disaster Resiliencefocuses on the development of opportunities for goal-oriented coordination between operating institutions across Europe and around the world with joint European and international operations towards a global, non-profit and humanitarian network for the protection of our planet and its inhabitants, based on the Tübingen Declaration of 8th July 2014, which calls for unrestricted and uncensored dialogue between people everywhere.
The aim is a uniform global approach to the prevention and management of global crises and disasters based on an algorithmic description of the sequence of events in the chain of cause and effect. Priority is given to the personal security and safety of people against all forms of violent threat.
- WePROMIS®– one of the first Pledges to the Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs presented during the European Commission’s 3rd Digital Agenda Assembly in Dublin, 19-20 June 2013. The Millennia2025 Women and Innovation Foundation, consulting partner of the UNESCO, is a community of international voluntary researchers counting 10.694 members in 137 countries.
Key values are the equality between women and men, the respect of rights and diversity, the development of the human capital and the digital solidarity through eSkills, knowledge, communication and support with those who do not access communications tools and who nevertheless are drivers of changes. The objective is to structure STEM scientists’ knowledge supporting citizens, business start-ups, employees and students in building ‘Communities of Knowledge and eMentoring’ between the Mentors (STEM scientists, corporate business leaders) and Mentees (citizens, students, employees).
