The Conference “Creating policy instruments for the support of public procurement of innovation” hosted under the auspices of the Member of the European Parliament Ms Sunčana Glavak, will bring together policymakers, national and regional representatives in charge of national/regional policy instruments for support of PPI, EU networks/agencies in the field of innovation procurement, public authorities, representatives of the Prominent MED project partner countries (Portugal, France, Italy, Spain and Croatia) with the aim of supporting the use of public procurement of innovation.
This conference will be held as part of the Prominent MED (Public pROcureMent of INnovation boosting greEN growTh in MED area) project, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund with the focus on the use of PPI to stimulate development of innovative energy efficiency solutions. The aim of the conference is to help policymakers, public authorities and other stakeholders harness the power of innovation procurement. More specifically, it will look at potential solutions to improve the use of public procurement to promote innovation. Since this event will take place during the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the EU we will also have the opportunity to hear about the priorities of Croatia’s presidency related to this topic and innovation in general.
